Appointments in Entity Management

Appointments record the official roles held by individuals at a Corporate Entity — such as Director, Company Secretary, or Power of Attorney. You can view appointments from both the Corporate Entity record and the Individual record.

Adding an appointment

  1. Open the Corporate Entity or Individual record.

  2. In the Appointments section, select + Add.

  3. In Search for a person, search for and select the individual. The person must already exist as an Individual in Entity Management.

  4. Select an Appointment Type.

  5. Enter the Appointment Date (required).

  6. Optionally enter a Resignation Date.

  7. Select Add Appointment.

Note: You can only appoint an existing Individual. If the person does not yet have a record in Entity Management, create their Individual record first

Appointment types

  • Director

  • Company Secretary

  • Power of Attorney / Legal Representative

  • Authorised Representative

  • Officer

  • Chairperson

Editing an appointment

Select the appointment tile to open the Edit Appointment modal. All fields are editable. Select Save to update, or Remove to permanently delete the appointment record.

Note: Setting a Resignation Date marks the appointment as Resigned (inactive) and retains the full history. Remove permanently deletes the record. These are two distinct actions.

Active and resigned appointments

An appointment without a Resignation Date is Active. One with a past Resignation Date is Resigned. Use the Show Inactive toggle to show or hide resigned appointments.
