Why location matters
Data in Entity Management is stored in two different ways:
Corporate Entities — stored at the global company level, shared across all Xakia locations. Corporate Entity records are unaffected if Entity Management is ever moved to a different location.
Individuals and Parties — stored at the location level. If Entity Management is moved to a different location, these records remain at the original location and would need to be recreated.
Choosing the right location
Treat this as a permanent decision. Moving Entity Management to a different location later will result in loss of Individual and Party data at the new location.
Note: Contact your Xakia Customer Success Manager if you need guidance on which location to choose before enabling Entity Management
Summary
One location only — a system restriction. Entity Management cannot be enabled on more than one location.
Corporate Entities are safe — stored globally and always accessible regardless of location.
Individual and Party data is not portable — location-specific and cannot be moved between locations.
