The Xakia Gmail Add-on lets you search, create, and manage your legal matters without leaving your inbox.
Xakia's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What you can do with the Gmail Add-on
Create matters in minutes. The add-on picks up key details automatically, like the Matter Manager, Internal Contact, and Matter Description.
Search existing matters. Find matters and view their details without leaving your inbox.
Manage your matters. Mark matters as favorites, update statuses or add status notes, add tasks, key dates, or discussion items, link internal clients as matter followers, and open matters directly in Xakia.
How to install the Gmail Add-on
Install it from a desktop browser in four steps.
1. Log into Gmail. Sign in to your Gmail account from a desktop browser.
2. Open the add-ons menu. On the main Gmail page, you'll see a sidebar of add-on icons down the right side. Any add-ons you install show up here. Click the + button at the bottom of the sidebar to open the add-ons marketplace.
Can't see the side panel? Click the small gray tab with a < symbol at the bottom right to bring out the add-ons menu.
3. Find and install Xakia. In the pop-up window, search for and select Xakia, then click Install. Click Allow/Accept to grant any permissions when prompted.
4. Refresh your inbox. Once installed, refresh Gmail and the Xakia add-on icon will appear in your sidebar.
That's it. You can now file emails straight into your Xakia matters.
