In this article:

Overview

The Xakia–Microsoft Teams integration delivers notifications directly to a Teams channel, with quick links back to Xakia. You can configure notifications for:

  • New matters created in Xakia

  • New legal intake requests submitted via Xakia

Getting started with the Xakia-Teams integration

To enable this integration, you to create a Workflows webhook URL in Microsoft Teams and paste it into Xakia's admin settings.

Note: Microsoft has retired the legacy Incoming Webhook connector. Teams webhooks are now created using the Workflows app in Microsoft Teams. If you previously configured the old Incoming Webhook connector, you will need to create a new Workflows webhook and update the URL in Xakia.

Prerequisites

  • Microsoft Teams access with permission to add workflows to a channel

  • Xakia Admin access (Location Admin role or higher

Step 1: Create a Workflows Webhook URL in Microsoft Teams

  1. Open Microsoft Teams and navigate to the channel where you want to receive Xakia notifications.

  2. Right-click the channel name (or click the … more options menu) and select Workflows.

  3. Search for the template "Send webhook alerts to a channel" and select it.

  4. Select the Team and Channel where notifications should be posted, then click Save.

  5. Once saved, you can optionally rename the workflow (e.g., "Xakia Notifications").

  6. Click the link to copy the webhook URL — you will need it in Step 2.

Step 2: Configure Xakia

  1. In Xakia, click the Admin icon in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the left sidebar, select Integrations, then click the Communications tab.

  3. Under Microsoft Teams Configuration Settings, paste your webhook URL into the Workflows Webhook URL field.

  4. Toggle the integration to Enabled.

  5. Select which notifications to receive:

    • Matter Created — receive a notification when a new matter is created

    • New Legal Intake Request — receive a notification when a new intake request is submitted

  6. Click Save.

Your Teams channel will now receive notifications with direct links to view the matter or intake request in Xakia.
