You can lock down your matter so that only specified members of your team have access.
Matters can be set to 'Confidential' when you first create the matter, and/or after it has been created so that only specified members of the team have access.
New matter
To set a new matter to confidential:
- Click on the '+ New Matter' button in the top navigation menu to create a new matter
- Complete the fields in the matter form
- When saving the matter, click on the white drop-down arrow on the 'Save' button
- Choose 'Save as Confidential'
Existing matter
If a matter is already created, to set it as confidential:
- Open the matter
- Click 'Actions' in the top right-hand corner
- Select 'Make Confidential'
- A 'Confidential' label will appear in the top left-hand corner of the matter form, immediately above the matter name
Removing confidential settings
To remove the confidential settings on a matter, please:
- Open the matter
- Click 'Actions' in the top right-hand corner
- Select 'Remove Confidential'
Access to confidential matters
Once a matter is set to confidential, only the below users will have access to these matters:
- Matter Manager
- Team members
- Any person who has administrative permissions of 'All Matters including Confidential'
