My reports aren't generating when using Chrome

There is a setting in Google Chrome that can prevent Xakia Reports from generating. Find out how to switch it off here.

When you're generating a report in Xakia using Chrome and after a while you see the below screen, it could be because the 'Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome' setting is switched on.

You can change that setting by following these instructions:

  • At the top right hand corner of your Chrome browser, click on the 3 vertical dots
  • Click on 'Settings'
  • Click on the 'Privacy and security' tab in the left hand menu
  • Click on 'Site settings'
  • Scroll down to the 'Content' section and click on 'Additional content settings'
  • Click 'PDF documents'
  • Select 'Open PDFs in Chrome'

Chrome will now open PDFs automatically in the browser.
