Passwords
Xakia follows secure credential storage best practices. Passwords are required to include:
- 8 characters
- One uppercase
- One lowercase
- One number
- One special character
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi-factor authentication is available using Time Based One Time Password (TOTP), using an authenticator app such as Google or Microsoft Authenticator. If you are an Admin and would like to enable MFA for your organization, please follow the steps here. If you are a user and would like assistance setting up your MFA, please follow the steps here.
Single Sign On
Xakia supports Single Sign On using OpenID Connect (OIDC). The support is for authentication against a Xakia Azure Active Directory tenant application. Companies are responsible for Federating to their own AAD tenant using their preferred method and adding the Xakia application to their AAD tenant. To set up SSO, follow the steps in this article.
8 steps you can take to protect your password & security
- Create a strong, long password
- Implement advance authentication such as SSO or MFA, as mentioned above
- Don’t use dictionary words
- Use different passwords for every account
- Secure your mobile phone or other devices you may use for MFA
- Change passwords when an employee leaves your business
- Avoid storing passwords either digitally or on paper
- Lock your computer and other devices when not attended
