Installing your Outlook add-in takes only minutes.

Our Xakia add-in is available in the Microsoft App Store.

In this article:

How it works

With the Xakia Outlook add-in, you can:

  • Create matters in minutes

  • Use pre-defined templates to create matters even faster

  • Search for existing matters and view details about each matter

  • Manage your matters, including:

    • add status notes

    • add a key date

    • add and assign tasks

    • save the related email and/or documents

Watch this short video to see it in action.

Install Outlook add-in: Desktop application

To install:

  1. Open Outlook

  2. Click the 'Get add-ins' button in the ribbon

  3. Use the search bar in the top right corner to search for 'Xakia'

  4. Select 'Add' to install

The add-in can be accessed by:

  • Clicking on an email message in your inbox, then clicking the 'Xakia' button on the ribbon, or

  • Selecting the Xakia button on your navigation ribbon

When you first open the add-in, you may be prompted to log in. If so, click the 'Sign in' button and log in with your usual Xakia account details.

Note: When the add-in panel is closed and re-opened, you may need to log in again. We recommend that you 'Pin' the add-in by clicking the pin icon in the top left of screen. This keeps the add-in panel open and logged in even when you select other email messages.

Install Outlook add-in: on the web

To install:

  1. Visit outlook.office.com and open your inbox

  2. Click on the 'New message' button on the left hand side

  3. Click the ellipsis menu near the bottom of the new email message, alongside the 'Send' and 'Discard' buttons

  4. Select 'Get add-ins'

  5. Use the search bar in the top right corner to search for 'Xakia'

  6. Select 'Add' to install

The add-in can be accessed by:

  • Clicking on an email message in your inbox

  • Clicking the ellipsis menu in the top right of the email message

  • Selecting 'Xakia' in the menu that appears

When you first open the add-in, you may be prompted to log in. If so, click the 'Sign in' button and log in with your usual Xakia account details. If you are already logged in to Xakia in another tab in the same browser, you will not have to log in to the add-in again.

Note: Installing the add-in on the desktop version automatically adds it to the web version of Outlook and vice versa.
