Overview:
After you set up Federated Identity/Single Sign-On (SSO) for your organization, switch your existing users over so they authenticate through your identity provider instead of Xakia.
Follow these steps for each user, one at a time.
Once you've configured your Xakia location with a Federated Identity/SSO provider, we recommend moving your existing users over so they log in through your provider instead of Xakia. Do this for each user individually.
Enable user provisioning
This lets you switch users from Xakia Identity to your SSO identity provider.
Go to Admin > Settings > Users & Security > Federated Identity.
Toggle on Enable User Provisioning from Xakia.
Note: You only need to do this once for your organization. After it's on, you can migrate users to your SSO provider one at a time, whenever you're ready.
Update each user's login information
Go to Admin > Users & Security > Users.
Find the user you want to migrate and click Edit.
Confirm the user's email matches the email claim from your SSO identity provider. If it doesn't, update it and let the user know which email address to use when logging in to Xakia.
If a user's email does not exactly match their SSO identity provider's email claim, they won't be able to log in. Double-check this before saving.
Change the Identity Provider field from Xakia to your SSO provider.
Click Save.
Troubleshoot login issues
If a user has trouble logging in after the switch, the most common cause is a claims-mapping mismatch. Walk them through our claims mapping troubleshooting to identify and fix the issue.
