Your connection to Xakia has two levels, and you can change either one after Claude is connected:
Location: the Xakia location Claude reads from. You can switch locations within a conversation, as long as you belong to them and they have MCP Enabled.
Connection: the Xakia account and region Claude signs in to. To change it, disconnect and reconnect, for example to use a different Xakia region or user account.
Switch to a different location
You don't need to change any settings. Just tell Claude.
See your options. Ask Claude: "Which Xakia locations can I use?" Claude lists your locations and whether the connector is enabled for each.
Choose a location. Tell Claude which one to use, for example: "Use the UK Legal location for this conversation."
Claude uses that location for the rest of the conversation, until you name a different one.
Note: Each new conversation starts fresh. If you belong to several locations, name the location at the start of each conversation to avoid being asked.
If a location shows as not enabled, ask your Xakia Administrator to switch on MCP Enabled for it in Admin › AI Settings › MCP.
Connect to a different region or Xakia account
To connect to a Xakia environment in a different region, or to sign in as a different Xakia user, disconnect and reconnect. The Xakia account you sign in with determines the region you connect to.
Open Connectors. In Claude Desktop, go to Profile › Settings › Connectors.
Disconnect. Select Xakia and click Disconnect.
Reconnect. Click Connect and sign in with the Xakia account for the region or environment you want to use.
Allow access. Review the consent screen and click Allow.
Disconnect Xakia from Claude
To stop Claude accessing Xakia, go to Profile › Settings › Connectors, select Xakia and click Disconnect. Claude can't request information from Xakia again until you reconnect.
Your access also ends automatically if a Xakia Administrator:
switches off MCP Enabled
restricts access to Administrators
removes you from the location
deactivates your account
When you need to sign in again
Your connection stays active without signing in each time. You'll be asked to sign in again if you haven't used the connector for 15 days, and in any case 30 days after you last signed in.
