Xakia is available in the Claude Connectors Directory, but you can also add the connector manually in Claude Desktop with your region's connector URL, whether you manage your own Claude subscription or you're the Owner for your organization's. If you'd rather use the Directory, read Set Up the Xakia MCP Connector in Claude.
Before you start
An Administrator has switched on MCP Enabled for your location in Admin › AI Settings › MCP, and you have permission to connect. Read Xakia MCP Connector: Overview and Requirements for the full list.
You manage your own Claude subscription, or you're an Owner for your organization's Team or Enterprise subscription.
You know your region's connector URL. See the next section.
Find your region's connector URL
Xakia runs a separate connector for each data region. Use the one for the region where your organization's Xakia data is hosted. If you're not sure which region that is, ask your Xakia Administrator or Customer Success Manager.
Region | Connector URL |
Australia |
|
Canada |
|
United Kingdom |
|
Netherlands |
|
United States |
|
Note: The connector works with one region at a time. If you have Xakia tenants in more than one region, add a separate connector for each one. Follow these steps once for each region's connector URL, and give each connector a name that makes its region clear.
Open the Add custom connector window
Who adds the connector depends on your Claude subscription:
Personal subscription (Free, Pro or Max): you add the connector for yourself.
Team or Enterprise subscription: an Owner adds the connector once for the whole organization. Members then connect to it individually (see "Connect and sign in to Xakia").
If you have a personal subscription:
Open Connectors. In Claude Desktop, go to Profile › Settings › Connectors.
Add a custom connector. Click Add, hover over Custom and select Web.
If you're an Owner of a Team or Enterprise subscription:
Open Connectors. In Claude, go to Organization settings › Connectors.
Add a custom connector. Click Add, hover over Custom and select Web.
Both options open the Add custom connector window.
Enter the connector details
Name the connector. Enter a name for the connector. It's the name shown in your connectors list. For example, for the United States region, you could enter Xakia United States.
Enter the URL. Enter the connector URL for your region.
Continue. Click Continue.
Claude detects the authentication settings for you. Check that they match the following:
Check Authentication. Under Authentication, Sign in now is selected.
Check the OAuth client. Under OAuth client, Use your own OAuth client is selected, with the client ID
mcp-claude.Leave OAuth client secret blank.
Leave Request headers empty. Xakia doesn't need any.
Check the transport. Under Advanced › Transport, leave Streamable HTTP selected.
Add. Click Add.
Connect and sign in to Xakia
Each person connects with their own Xakia account, including Team and Enterprise members after an Owner has added the connector.
Connect. In Claude Desktop, go to Profile › Settings › Connectors, select your Xakia connector and click Connect.
Sign in. Sign in to Xakia with your usual credentials, including Single Sign-On (SSO) or Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) if your organization uses them.
Review the permissions. On the consent screen, review the permissions. Leave Grant offline agent access ticked if you want scheduled tasks to use Xakia without you being signed in. Read Offline Access in the Xakia MCP Connector for how it works.
→ [URL to be added once published]Allow. Click Yes, Allow.
Your Xakia connector now shows as connected in your connectors list, under the name you gave it. You only see information you already have access to in Xakia. To see how your data is handled, read the Xakia MCP Connector privacy notice.
